Winters Bone- because some winters just chill you that deep.

Some of those winters weren't always just snow angels and hot-chocolate for me and my little brother. Some times they were hard to get through. we would huddle around a gas heater with our blankets in cold house. just waiting for the electricity to come back on. I don't know what it was about certain snow days after storms, but somehow they would call us to bundle up and leave the warmth of the heater and just take up an adventure outside, exploring the vast new terrain.

Some of my fondest memories are when the first winters snow lays down a white velvety blanket. The air so crisp, the snow cracking under foot as you step out into a broad new landscape. What was old, is new. The adventure began outside and we would go to the old farm buildings and see how this chilling landscape changed them. It was as if they had a new mystery. Their history and story were showing their age in a new way. With deeper contrast, the aged patina of the barn wood captivated my eyes and filled my heart with a new winter wonder.

And this was the inspiration for this patina.
